Nacodgoches

Nacogdoches.
The Oldest Town in Texas.
That what my darling hubby told me when we went to visit Nacogdoches together for the first time.
I like Nacogdoches.
I love the way the little main street are. Neat and tidy.
Well I guess there is one fabric shop I like to visit, may be that's why.
Anyway, we were at Nacogdoches again for the first time this year for the Sugarcane Day.
We get to see how they made their sugarcane syrup the old ways.
We get to see how they smoked meat and sausages in the Smoked House.
We get to see a blacksmith working on many tools. During those days they definitely do not have Harbour Freight store.
We also get to listen to this guy who is, i think someone working with SFA, he grows sugarcane.
Did i mention my darling hubby is into sugarcane right now.
We grow sugarcane back home but we never made them into sugarcane syrup.
We drink the juice but we never made them into syrup.
We chewed alot of sugarcane during my baby days.
I guess that's why we all have a strong teeth.
I better get going.
It is going to be a gloomy day again.
Very windy outside.
Cold.
Last night I said to my darling hubby. We are having a wet cold winter.
He said we always have lots of rain in January.
He knows everything : )
